The Alliance for Trade in Information Technology and Services is a Trade Industry Support Institution made up of an alliance of non-traditional or service companies looking to export their services to the rest of the world. The ATIS is set up to enable the export ready companies take advantage of joint increased capacity to attract big buyers and partners from all over the world.
Our membership is tailored to the top leadership of firms either CEO’s or MD’s – and we currently host over 20 of the country’s top performing IT firms. Membership in the association is open to all IT firms, with strong emphasis on exporting and governed by membership policy.
The desired results are generating big business that may be implemented by one or more members, the ATIS will target bigger markets and bigger jobs and support the members in implementing these kind of assignments. In the longer run significant revenue increase is expected and this will lead to expansion and job creation for the youth of Uganda.

Our Pillars
Development The organization of ATIS is led by a Board of Directors (BOD), each of the directors is a head of a committee designed to work with the secretariat to ensure functions of ATIS are performed. A functional secretariat has been set up and will be continuously developed to implement the work plan of the organization. | Development The ATIS profiles its members and through the tier system it will provide tier and product/service specific services. The total capacity of each product/service cluster and scalability will be clearly documented for purposes of marketing and potential buyer knowledge of capacity to deliver. Membership status will be annually reviewed and members may be transferred to a new cluster/tier or acted upon as deemed necessary by the leadership. | Development The ATIS will start with the growth strategy of market development initially targeting the Canada, East African Community (EAC), United Kingdom (UK), Western Europe and United States of America (USA). |

We decided that it was time to became more useful to our contemporaries, our customers and those they supply, and of course, to our own staff. How we work: connecting people, technology and systems. The major groups involved in e-commerce, communication and software are taking ownership – alongside start-ups – of a world that is changing. This world of tomorrow – built on innovation, flexibility and creativity – belongs to our
Alliance, too. That’s why ATIS despite its appearance as a fairly new industry player, its members however have a vast wealth of experience and knowledge in the BPO/ITES industry.

It is better to lead from behind and to put others in front, especially when you celebrate victory when nice things occur. You take the front line when there is danger. Then people will appreciate your leadership.
ATIS is, first and foremost, an industrial force, with our companies not only in Uganda but with branches in different countries. We are also a force for innovation, through our involvement with different stakeholders that are inventing the world of tomorrow. We are selling to traditional markets that we know well, promoting their transformation through the adoption and embracing of technology. ATIS’s mission is to enable its members to achieve this goal! This is certainly our ambition: A world where managing the ever-increasing movements of people and data in the context of the digital revolution has become a major challenge. We understand our society as “connected”, because for most people, that’s the future; for ATIS, it’s now. We connect people through urban flows, promoting communication and safety. We are developing smart features for our customers’ products in most sectors of our industry. We are helping to predict needs and to save time and energy. We are connecting networks – and more… Indirectly, we are serving people, helping create a smarter world.
